23-24 April 2022 – Hampshire
♥ Stunning images & memories to treasure forever ♥
This April, my hugely popular bluebell photoshoots return! These will take place over the weekend of 23-24 April, at a bluebell wood close to Andover. Bluebell photo sessions are very popular and limited in number, due to the short window of opportunity that nature provides. I like to run the photoshoots as close to early morning/late afternoon as possible, to take advantage of the light. Therefore I always recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Time and family are the most precious things we have in life – in this crazy world of work and commitments we sometimes lose sight of what’s really important. Making time to photograph your family history is my number one priority. I will guide you through your experience and advise you how to display and preserve these moments to enjoy now and for future generations to come.
‘Bluebells are my most favourite sign of spring. They are beautiful yet so fragile. There’s something really lovely about helping to protect them, because they do need our help’ – Crispin Scott, Wildlife & Countryside Adviser, The National Trust.
Your bluebell photo shoot will cost £199 and will include…
- 5 images, supplied as 5×7″ prints and digital downloads, with option to purchase more images, prints and artwork once you’ve seen your photos in your private online gallery
- A pre-shoot email consultation on how to prepare and what to wear
- A 20 minute photo-shoot in the bluebell woods (exact location tbc)
- A private online viewing gallery of up to 20 images, professionally edited, where you can choose and order your photos for instant download or order framed prints and artwork for delivery direct to your door
- A deposit of £49 is payable on booking to confirm your session. The balance of £150 is payable once you’ve seen your edited gallery.
My bluebell photo shoots take place in local ancient woodlands of North Hampshire, where these wonderful wild flowers are in abundance. I have a huge amount of respect for nature, having studied for a BSc and MSc in environmental management and having spent my previous career in the environmental sector. I always tread very carefully when photographing amongst the bluebells, so as not to damage them; sticking to pathways as much as possible, so that the native British Bluebell will be around for future generations to enjoy.
WHAT IF IT RAINS? OR SNOWS?!
I will be keeping a close eye on the weather. If it looks as though it will be too wet or windy, I will contact you to reschedule for another weekend. If you’re unable to make that date you will be able to transfer your deposit to a different shoot with me another time.
WHAT IF WE ARE UNWELL?
If you are unable to make your appointment due to illness, don’t worry. We will reschedule. I will do my best to get you another bluebell shoot, but if this isn’t possible, you will have the choice of a studio session or another outdoor location.
WHAT IF THERE ARE NO BLUEBELLS?
I am pretty confident that there will be bluebells out over the weekend of 23-24 April. I have been running bluebell photoshoots in Hampshire for several years and prior to that, would always plan a walk in the bluebell woods. In the unlikely event that Mother Nature does not provide, I will do my best to reschedule. If you are unable to make the rescheduled date, you will have the option to choose another outdoor family photoshoot or a studio family portrait photo session.
WHAT IF MY CHILDREN DON’T COOPERATE?
I have yet to be forced to reschedule a photoshoot due to children being uncooperative. I am extremely patient and am very laid back, so will take the time to make a connection with your child and do my utmost to get natural smiles from everyone.
HOW MUCH ARE EXTRA PHOTOS AND CAN I GET A FRAMED PRINT?
Extra photos will be available to purchase at £35 each for a print and the digital image. I have a range of options available for framed prints, other wall art, mini albums and more.
