I’m Helen, a dedicated photographer and mother of two, with a passion for capturing your family’s journey—whether through newborn photography in Hampshire, maternity shoots, or beautiful first-year milestones.

Having photographed hundreds of babies, I understand the unique moments that parents want to cherish. My goal is to create timeless, natural portraits that reflect the personality of your little one in a warm and inviting environment. 

With over eight years of experience photographing hundreds newborns across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, and beyond, I’m passionate about creating images you’ll cherish forever. My style focuses on natural tones and timeless textures, highlighting your baby’s unique beauty in every shot.

I'm currently offering a FREE* mini maternity photoshoot with all newborn shoots booked. 

This is a wonderful chance to enjoy a short and sweet session, whether it’s just for you or with family members. I offer a variety of maternity outfits, so there’s no need to shop around! The ideal time for your session is between 32 and 36 weeks.
* Session fee waived (usually £75). Maternity photos available as high resolution digital downloads for a greatly reduced price of £20 per image. Available within one week via private online gallery.

Capture the Precious Early Days with a Newborn Photography Session in Hampshire

The best time to book a newborn photography session is when your baby is between 7 and 10 days old. During this brief window, your little one is still very sleepy and displays those adorable newborn traits—tiny toes, delicate fingers, and that heart-melting, scrunched-up pose.

My sessions last around 3 hours and are completely baby-led, ensuring a relaxed and stress-free experience. As a mother of two, I understand the challenges of stepping out just days after giving birth. That’s why I provide everything you need and guide you through the process. Before the session, I’ll offer a detailed overview on what to expect and how to prepare, so you can feel at ease and fully enjoy this unforgettable moment.

different options to suit your family

Photography Pricing Made Simple (Well… Almost!)

I know photography pricing can sometimes feel a little confusing — but don’t worry, you’re not alone! I’ve created a range of options to suit different family needs and budgets, whether you're after a full studio experience or just want a short and sweet session to capture a special moment.

In general, studio photoshoots (such as newborn, cake smash, and full maternity sessions) follow a simple and consistent pricing structure, starting at £295. 

If you’re looking for something shorter and more budget-friendly, my Mini Sessions are a great option, starting at £195. These are offered outdoors in the Spring and Summer months (think bluebells, wildflowers and golden sunsets), and also include the ever-popular Christmas Mini Sessions held in the studio.

There’s also a special Mini Maternity Shoot available when you book a Newborn Session — a perfect little add-on to document your bump before baby arrives! This is a free shoot, with images at just £20.

I completely understand it can feel a bit much to take in, so if you’re ever unsure which option is right for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m always happy to talk it through and help you find the best fit for your family.

The following Package Prices apply to studio sessions: Newborn photoshoots, Cake Smash shoots or Family portrait sessions.


I have a choice of three packages for you to choose from, starting at £295 for 5 images. 

You also have the option to personalise your package by adding fine art prints, wall art (multi-aperture framed prints, canvases etc), personalised albums and other professional photo products. 

All products are produced award winning specialist photographic printers, who only work with professional photographers. 

I am here to help you create a bespoke package to meet your individual requirements.

I also offer interest free payment plans, to help you spread the cost and to ensure you get everything you want from your photoshoot, to remember these treasured times forever.

There is a session fee of £75 to book with me, which is separate from your chosen package.

FAQs

Your questions answered

Book your session with me as soon as possible, as I get very busy! Book for approximately 10 days after your due date. Once your baby arrives, email me and we can confirm the exact date, ideally when baby is 5-10 days new. I’ll ask you to complete a booking and consent form to give me permission to take photos of your family. The session fee is due on booking to secure the time in my diary. The session fee doesn’t include any photos, which can be purchased at your viewing session, around 1 week after your photoshoot.
Don’t worry! Babies rarely arrive on their due date. My diary is flexible as I spend a lot of time editing images to create beautiful galleries for you, so I can always move things around. Just contact me when your baby arrives and we will book in your newborn photoshoot for when your baby is between 5-10 days new.
Yes! Absolutely. In fact I will ensure you appear in the photos. Everyone tells me they hate having their photo taken, but I will help you with how to stand and how to look relaxed, even if you don’t feel your best. I even have some beautiful long gowns to create some stylish shots of mum and baby and create some hugely popular photos of dads holding their babies. There is no extra charge for these photos. Just think how you and your baby will love to look back on these special photos.
Newborn photoshoots are very much baby led, so there is plenty of time for feeding, changing and cuddling. Allow 2-3 hours for your newborn baby photoshoot but if we need a little longer to capture those perfect shots, that is not a problem.
No! Absolutely not! Us newborn photographers say newborn photo shoots are best done when baby is around 7-10 days old, but that is not set in stone by any means. When babies are still brand new, they spend most of their time curled up, sleeping. This makes it easier for trained newborn photographers to pose babies safely in those cute classic photos you see. However, I have held a huge number of photoshoots with older babies. These are a different kind of session, as baby could be awake more, but this means we can capture some amazing wide eyed shots! I can still wrap older babies and make them look tiny too!
