The ideal time for a maternity photo session is typically between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, your belly is beautifully rounded, but you are still comfortable enough to pose.
Yes, family members, including partners, children and pets, are always welcome to join the session to capture beautiful, intimate moments together.
I have lots of outfits which you are welcome to use. I have some gowns that offer full coverage, some are sheer, some have a split down the front so you can have your bump exposed. Some women opt for just an elegantly draped fabric; some want to pose in their birthday suit.
I don't offer hair and make-up, but if you want this done professionally, I can put you in touch with a local make-up artist, who can come to the studio. Most mums-to-be do their own hair and make-up, or come au naturel!
It's best to wear skin coloured underwear, with no VPL. I often advise no underwear, or at least no bra, if you would feel comfortable with that and depending on what you choose to wear. Your comfort is my priority, so whatever you wear, we'll get some beautiful pictures.
We all do! Don't worry - I can get you some incredible photos and make some wonderful memories for you, even if it's just your bump and hands. Clients tell me I make them feel very relaxed and comfortable and that they enjoy the experience, even if they are not confident in front of the camera. I totally understand that!
Yes! I offer a FREE mini maternity photoshoot with all newborn shoots booked. That is around 30 minutes long and can include other family members. If you want a longer maternity shoot, we can discuss that.
I always professionally edit photos, to a natural style. The turnaround time for receiving your images is usually around one week.
If you book the FREE Mini Maternity Photoshoot, images can be purchased around one week after the shoot, at £20 per image. For the full maternity shoot, packages start at £295 for 5 images. See my pricing page for full details.
