To ensure availability, it’s best to book your newborn photoshoot while you’re still pregnant. I only schedule a limited number of sessions each month to accommodate babies arriving early or late. The ideal time to photograph newborns is within the first 7-10 days when they are still very sleepy and pose easily.
Newborn photoshoots typically take between 2-4 hours. This allows time for feeding, changing, and settling your baby so we can capture the best moments. My studio, easy to reach from Southampton, is designed to make both parents and babies feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.
You’ll only need to bring essentials such as nappies, milk (if bottle-feeding), and a dummy if your baby uses one. I provide a selection of wraps, props, and outfits, but you are welcome to bring any personal items or outfits you’d like to include in the photos, including clothing for parents and siblings, who I will also photograph.
No need to worry! I have extensive experience working with newborns and understand that every baby is unique. We’ll take breaks as needed for feeding, cuddling, or soothing, making sure your baby is comfortable before we continue the session.

To help your baby feel settled and sleepy during the session, try to keep them awake for about an hour beforehand and feed them just before arriving. Dressing your baby in something easy to remove will also make it easier to start the session smoothly.
Around one week after your photoshoot, I'll invite you to your Viewing Session. You'll be shown a stunning slideshow of your gallery of 20 images. You can then choose from one of my packages and any framed prints, albums or other products. I take care to select and edit the best images, ensuring they capture the precious early days of your baby’s life.
Your baby’s safety is my top priority. I am trained in newborn posing and always ensure your baby is in a safe and comfortable position. My Southampton studio is kept clean and sanitized, and I take every precaution to provide a safe environment.
