Hello, I'm Helen, the photographer behind H Jones Photography.

If you're looking for a cake smash photographer near Salisbury, I'd love to help you celebrate your baby's first birthday.

My welcoming garden studio is in Anna Valley, near Andover, and I regularly photograph families travelling from Salisbury and the surrounding Wiltshire villages.

Each session begins with natural portraits of your baby and some family photographs, before we bring out the cake for the messy part. We finish with a warm splash bath, which often produces some of the loveliest expressions.

The cake, outfits and props are all provided, so there's very little for you to organise.

Having photographed babies since 2017, I keep sessions relaxed and follow your little one's lead, capturing their personality as they reach this wonderful milestone.

A £95 session fee is payable when booking your cake smash photoshoot. This covers the preparation and photography session and is deducted from your chosen collection when you select your photographs at your viewing appointment.

- Platinum Collection - £495 - 20 digital images
- Gold Collection - £395 - 10 digital images
- Silver Collection - £295 - 5 digital images

Beautiful framed artwork, albums and wall displays are also available.

Most families invest around £500.

A cake smash and splash photoshoot lasts approximately one hour. We begin with some family and individual portraits, followed by the cake smash and a warm splash bath to finish. There's plenty of opportunity to capture your baby's personality throughout.

Absolutely. Family and sibling portraits are included in every cake smash session at no additional charge. We take these photographs before bringing out the cake, so everyone can be involved in celebrating your baby's first birthday.

Not all babies are eager to dive into their cake, and that's perfectly fine! I capture the natural reactions and expressions, whether they explore gently or decide to smash it. Every moment is special, and I aim to reflect your baby's personality through my photography.

You'll be invited back to my studio for a viewing and ordering appointment, usually around a week after your photoshoot. You'll see a selection of beautifully edited photographs and choose your favourite collection. Your purchased images will then be prepared for delivery.

Yes. I provide the outfits, cake, props and accessories, with a focus on natural colours and simple, timeless styling. We can discuss your preferences before the session so the photographs feel personal without overwhelming your baby with elaborate decorations.
