Family photographs you'll want to keep on display

I'm a mum of two, and one of my biggest regrets is not having more professional photographs taken when my own children were little.

I have plenty of snapshots - but very few beautiful photographs with all of us together.

That's why my family photoshoots aren't simply about getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time.

I want to capture the relationships between you - the cuddles, laughter, little expressions and connections that make your family yours.

We'll create a mixture of relaxed, natural images alongside timeless family portraits that will still look beautiful on your walls many years from now.

You don't need to know how to pose, and your children certainly don't need to be perfectly behaved.

I'll gently guide you throughout your family photoshoot, creating different combinations as we go - everyone together, children on their own, siblings, parents with children and photographs of you as a couple too.

My photography style is natural and timeless, with simple styling and neutral colours that keep the attention firmly on you.

The result is a varied collection of photographs that feels like your family rather than a series of stiff, overly posed portraits.

Family portrait sessions aren't just for families with young children.

They can also be a wonderful opportunity to photograph:

What happens at your family photoshoot?

Before your session, I'll help you prepare and advise you on what to wear, so everyone looks great together without feeling overly coordinated.

On the day, there's no expectation for children to sit perfectly still and smile on command. We'll keep things relaxed and work with their personalities rather than against them.

After your photoshoot, each of your photographs is individually hand-edited in my natural, timeless style.

You'll then return to the studio for your viewing appointment, where you'll see your finished photographs and decide which collection you'd like.

From your family photoshoot to your family home

Digital photographs are wonderful for sharing and keeping safe, but there's something rather special about seeing the people you love properly printed and displayed in your home.

I work with professional photographic labs to offer beautifully made frames and wall art designed to last.

At your viewing appointment, I can help you decide which photographs work particularly well together and show you how they could look as finished artwork.

There's never any obligation to purchase wall art.

But if you'd love your photographs to make it onto the wall rather than disappearing into another folder on your computer, the Signature Collection offers the best value.

Looking for a shorter family photoshoot?

Family Mini Sessions in Hampshire
Not every family needs a full portrait session.

Throughout the year I offer a limited number of Family Mini Sessions in Hampshire - shorter photoshoots that are perfect for updating your family photographs without booking a full studio session.

These include seasonal outdoor sessions such as my bluebell and sunflower photoshoots, along with occasional studio sessions and my popular Christmas Mini Sessions.

Mini Sessions have their own pricing and usually include a shorter session and a smaller collection of photographs.

They're particularly lovely for:

- An annual update of your family photographs
- Children who may prefer a shorter session
- Seasonal family photographs
- Gifts for grandparents
- Families who have photographed with me before and want new images as their children grow

Dates are limited and some Mini Sessions are only available once a year.

Please let me know who's coming when you enquire so I can make sure the session is suitable for the size of your group.

That's completely fine.
I don't expect children to walk into an unfamiliar studio and immediately perform for the camera. We'll give them time to settle in and I'll adapt the session around them.

Yes. I offer professionally produced wall art in a range of styles and sizes.
My Signature Collection includes a beautiful 24 x 24" multi-image framed artwork, and additional wall art can also be purchased separately.

Yes. Every family photography collection includes high-resolution digital photographs with personal printing rights.

My full family portrait sessions take place in my studio near Andover.
I also offer seasonal outdoor Family Mini Sessions at selected locations in Hampshire, including bluebell and sunflower sessions.

I allow between 1-2 hours for the shoot, but the length very much depends on how things go on the day. I always follow your family's lead, to ensure everyone is happy and relaxed.
