Hi! I'm Helen, experienced maternity, newborn, cake smash and family photographer, and mum of two. 

At H Jones Photography, I specialise in capturing the fleeting moments of your newborn's early days. Based not far from Newbury, near Andover, my warm and inviting studio is the perfect place to create timeless memories of your little one. When you book a newborn photoshoot, you'll also receive a complimentary mini maternity session during your pregnancy.

It's my gift to you, allowing you to document both chapters of your journey into parenthood.

Many families tell me they treasure these photographs just as much as their newborn portraits, capturing the anticipation before meeting their little one.

The mini maternity session takes place in my studio at around 7-8 months, and includes a relaxed photoshoot with access to my collection of maternity gowns. Family members included.

Newborn Photography near Newbury

For the best results, newborn photoshoots are ideally conducted when your baby is 7-10 days old. At this tender age, they still have those adorable newborn features—tiny toes, chubby fingers, and soft rolls that make for the sweetest poses. Brand new babies tend to be sleepier, allowing me to safely arrange them in those precious positions showcased throughout my website.

However, don’t worry if your baby is older! As an experienced newborn photographer near Newbury, I can capture beautiful images of your little one at any age. Be sure to check out my blog for stunning photos of older babies.

Each baby photoshoot is baby-led and designed to be a relaxed experience. Typically, newborn photoshoots last around 2-3 hours, allowing us ample time to create lovely images. All sessions are booked with a £95 session fee, which secures your shoot and includes:

- Your photoshoot at my calm Hampshire garden studio
- Use of carefully selected props, outfits and styling
- A relaxed, unhurried experience guided at your pace
- Professional hand-editing of your images
- A private in-person viewing appointment to choose your favourites

Image collections and printed products are purchased separately.

Image collections offer a range of options available depending on how many images you’d love to keep.

Many families choose to invest in one or two beautiful pieces of wall art, such as framed prints or albums, to enjoy their images every day.

Wall art and printed products are completely optional and are chosen during your viewing appointment.

There is no obligation to purchase beyond your chosen collection, and I’m always happy to guide you through the options so you can choose what feels right for your family and your home.
