There are no legal requirements for photographers to undertake specialist training before handling and posing newborn babies.

As a parent myself, I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to photograph your newborn.

That's why I have invested in specialist newborn safety training and regularly refresh my emergency first aid qualifications.

Throughout every session, your baby's comfort, wellbeing and safety are my highest priorities.

I will never attempt a pose that could compromise your baby's safety, and every session is adapted to suit your baby's individual needs and temperament.

Every newborn booking includes a complimentary mini maternity photoshoot.

It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your pregnancy and capture the excitement of waiting to meet your baby.

Your maternity session takes place in my studio, at around 7-8 months, where you'll have access to a selection of beautiful maternity gowns and gentle guidance throughout.

Many parents tell me they are so pleased they have photographs of both their pregnancy and their baby's first days, creating a complete story of their journey into parenthood.

A Relaxed, Baby-Led Experience

Life with a newborn can feel wonderfully chaotic.

That's why every newborn session is designed to be calm, flexible and completely baby-led.

The studio is kept warm and cosy for newborn babies, and there is always plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddles and settling.

There is never any pressure to rush.
Sessions typically last between two and three hours, allowing your baby to remain comfortable throughout.

Parents often comment on how relaxed the experience feels, especially during those busy early weeks of parenthood.

When Should You Book Your Newborn Session?

The ideal time to book is during pregnancy, usually shortly after your 20-week scan.

When you book, I reserve space around your due date in my diary and finalise the session date once your baby arrives.

Newborn photographs are typically taken within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are often sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses.

However, if your baby has already arrived, please don't worry. Older newborn babies can still be beautifully photographed.

Image collections and printed products are purchased separately.

Image collections offer a range of options available depending on how many images you’d love to keep.

Many families choose to invest in one or two beautiful pieces of wall art, such as framed prints or albums, to enjoy their images every day.

Wall art and printed products are completely optional and are chosen during your viewing appointment.

There is no obligation to purchase beyond your chosen collection, and I’m always happy to guide you through the options so you can choose what feels right for your family and your home.

My studio near Andover is approximately 30 minutes from Salisbury and is easily accessible for families throughout Wiltshire and Hampshire.

Very little. I provide wraps, blankets, outfits and carefully selected props. Simply bring your baby, milk, nappies and anything else you would normally need for an outing.

Absolutely. Family and sibling photographs are included in every newborn session.

That's completely normal. When you book during pregnancy, I reserve your due date and allow flexibility around your baby's arrival.

I can still capture beautiful moments, even if your baby is older than the typical newborn stage.
